Casting Call for the next Fox MasterChef!

Written by Heather Atwood on October 18th, 2011

CASTING CALL IN BOSTON - FOX TV is headed to Boston on NOVEMBER 5th to hold an open casting call for the third season of MasterChef.

Gordon Ramsay and the MasterChef judges are once again giving talented cooks the opportunity to show America their culinary skills for a huge cash prize!  Over the past two seasons, the $250,000 grand prize and title of “MasterChef” have gone to Jennifer Behm, a realtor from Wilmington, DE; and Whitney Miller, a student from Poplarville, MS. Since winning the show, Whitney Miller released her first cookbook, while Jennifer Behm is currently writing a cookbook and already has established a successful private catering company.

The casting call will take place at Le Cordon Bleu on 215 First St. in Cambridge between 10am and 6pm.  Please visit www.masterchefcasting.com for full details on how to pre-register and attend this call!

Gloucester’s own Christian Collins showed up at this casting call a year ago.  He brought braised shortribs with truffle mashed potatoes, root vegetables, and crispy fried leeks.  Christian not only became one of the program’s one hundred contestants, but he rose to the top three, topped only by Adrian and Jen in the final episode.  Jen won.

Christian remembers standing in that line a year ago.  David Miller, who had finished second the year before, walked the crowd, encouraging the next crop of cooks, including Christian with his short ribs, who looked Miller in the eye and said, “don’t forget me.”

The MasterChef crew encourages you to bring the dish that best says who you are, so don’t necessarily bring short ribs, but, when you see Christian Collins strolling the line and shaking hands, look him in the eye, and remind him not to forget you.
