Nature’s Frosting !

After a few summer posts it’s back to the present day. So I headed over to West Gloucester and the Little River and Jones Creek area. With the rise and fall of the tide, it kinda looks like a frosting coated marshscape!Frozen Little River!Icing on the marsh!Panorama!Marsh road!Lone boat!Old style fluke anchor!A hunter’s canoe!Spent shotgun shells!Duck! Two ducks!

Help for Haiti

The whole world has been shocked by the devastating earthquake that has destroyed much of Haiti. Many people want to help but are questioning how best to do it, donating to agencies they are assured are reliable. I want to urge anyone who wishes to help to visit Partners in Progress for Haiti. Since 1999, Partners in Progress’s mission is to help the organized poor of Haiti help themselves to increase human capacity for living with dignity by promoting and advancing a Fondwa community  model of (sustainable) rural development through educational outreach and resource networking. They are an ethical, committed organization with impeccable standards.
I believe this because I know their Executive Director, Richard Gosser. Rich and I went to high school together and I have always held him in the highest regard. He is one of those people whose integrity and intelligence is absolutely admirable, and well-directed. I heard from him yesterday and he told me he knows Gloucester’s Sarah Hackett and will be posting updates on his blog: Partners in Progress Blog. Please visit it for information and to make a donation.
Thanks for reading.

By J. DeVoy
Meet Roxxxy, or specifically her personality “Mature Martha.”  By day she’s a good girl working at Tower 1 — yes, that Tower 1, formerly of the World Trade Center.  Prepare to see the most disturbing video to grace this blog in months:

The bizarre commentary is not without explanation:
Douglas Hines says that he developed [...]
